Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the ability to identify, assess, and manage the emotions of oneself, and to positively impact those of others, and of groups.

Project Managers need to possess a high level of EI to perform well in their jobs.

There are four dimensions to EI and the above infographic shows them and the disciplines that need to be mastered under each. Project Managers should prioritise developing these disciplines.
